The Roof contract is approximately 70% complete., the ornaments &  balustrades have been moved off site for repair & painting.

The asbestos removal is completed. On 9/22, Meadows Construction began work on the roof and cupola. Work is expected to take 2-3 months depending on the weather. 9/22/2010 
The asbestos abatement continues and will take approximately 2 more weeks. The contractor is reaching the final stage, which encompasses abatement of all the crawl-spaces. The contract for the roof and cupola have been awarded to Meadows Construction Co., LLC. Work will commence once the contract and documents are executed. 8/31/2010 
On August 9, 2010, the contract for asbestos removal will begin and take approximately 3 weeks. The contract was awarded to TMC Service, Inc. under a competitive bid. R.I. Analytical is the project engineer/monitor. During the project, containers with asbestos will be stored on site in front of the Courthouse. These are safe and meet all containment requirements. 8/1/2010
