Home Funds |
The Plymouth Redevelopment Authority is pleased to announce that income limits for the HOME Partnership program have just increased. A family of 4 can make up to $66,150 and be eligible for the program. Home funds are federal funds that are available to first time home buyers
to assist with the payment of closing costs and down payment for the purchase of their first home. In Plymouth, up to $7,500 is available per household. The funds are granted as a second mortgage but there is no interest charged and the principle is forgiven over a five-year period. There are no fees or closing costs associated with the granting of these funds. Potential grantees must meet income guidelines that equate to 80% of the area median income, demonstrate a need for the assistance, and qualify for first mortgage financing. Funds are limited and available on a first come first serve basis.

How to access the funds
Eligible participants should contact the Redevelopment Authority for a preliminary application and approval. Funds will be set aside for eligible applicants on a first come first serve basis provided they have received a mortgage commitment on an eligible property.
